  1. Make sure the font is installed.

  2. In HOOPS Communicator Converter Command Line Options. Eg

    1. --substitution_font "SimHei"

    2. --always_substitute_font true

  3. If this doesn't work (font doesn't update or text appears square). Try this\

    1. In converter command line options: set --prc_font_directories to ~/.local/share/fonts/, AND/OR

    2. in terminal, call fc-cache -rv
