Dual Graphic Card Issues

 

Before configuring SpinFire to use a specific graphics card, it is advised to update the graphic cards of the machine.

1. Graphic Card Drivers need updating

  1. Update Graphic Card Drivers

    1. Open Device Manager

    2. Expand Display Adapters, then Right Click > Select Properties > Open Driver Tab > Check Driver Date

    3. If the Graphic Drivers are from 2022 or earlier, go to the Manufacturers website to download the latest drivers.

      1. Official GeForce Drivers | NVIDIA. Manually Search for the driver or download the GeForce Experience application to do the driver update on your behalf and for future update updates.

         

  2. Intel® Driver & Support Assistant. Download and Install the Intel Driver & Support Assistant, Then run the application and it will automatically scan your machine for the latest driver compatabile with your graphics card.

  1. AMD Drivers. Download AMD’s software which will install the latest graphic card driver for you or alternagively search for the specific graphics card manually in the dropdown list.

2. Configure Windows to use specific graphic card for SpinFire

  1. Open Nvidia Control Panel and add SpinFire.exe and SpinFire.viewer.exe to the Program Settings, then select each of them and select “High Performance Nvidia Processor” under Point 2 for Preferred graphics processor setting.
