1.7

Updated file readers

Update to ANSYS, ABAQUS and HyperWorks support to 2021. Various other reader fixes

Performance and appearance

  • Improved visualization of undefined results

1.6

Sections manager

If there are sections in the file, the Sections node in the feature tree offers a grid of all available sections per category to choose what to display for top and bottom section groups. Defaults will set the Top section group to contains the last section for every category and set the Bottom section group to contains the first section for every category.

Experimental Wavefront Obj export

Added export of triangle-based unstructured grid geometries in the current view to Wavefront OBJ (.obj + .mtl) files.

Ease of use

  • Improved performance and stability

1.5

Multi view/model support

A dockable Views panel has been added for multi-view management.  Drag and drop support!

Support for encrypted VTFx files

Roll navigation

Switch to roll navigation by holding Shift while rotating.

Ease of use

  • Feature tree enhancements. Model and view main nodes added for more intuitive setup and usage.

  • Unification of context menu and properties.

1.4

View clipping planes

Clipping planes are used to clip parts of the geometry in the scene to be able to look inside. Anything behind (on the opposite side of the plane normal) the given planes is hidden.

Data Provider support

The Data Provider framework is used to implement plugins that feed CAE data to Ceetron SDKs and applications (e.g. Analyzer). It works both for file-based data providers (a.k.a. readers) and in-memory ones for real-time data synchronization.

Append to VTFx

Added the option to append a case to an existing VTFx model file. When saving, select an existing VTFx file and you will be prompted if you want to append or overwrite.

Search for element/node

It is now possible to search for an element or node using id or index.

Ease of use

  • Added option to repick plot curve position.

  • Added main panels for: Annotations, Animations, Cutting planes, Isosurfaces, Isovolumes and Particle traces.

  • Added multiselect to toolbar.

1.3

Video tutorials

Analyzer now offers video tutorials. Go to all tutorials from Help->Tutorials… or click on the help button in the top right corner of each settings panel to go directly to the current topic.

Linux and Mac support

Ceetron Analyzer is available on Linux (Ubuntu 16.04) and MacOS.

Situations

Added the concept of Situations. A situation stores the current view-/model setup and element sets. You can apply these situation data to the current model/view to recreate the setup from the situation. Situations are saved to disk and will be listed in the workspace tree when you open a model in Analyzer. Situations can be exported/imported to fit with your current workflow.

MPEG export

File->Save as Video: Exports the current animation to file as an MPEG video.

File->Export->Animation State by State: Export transient animation to MPEG video file without setting up the animation first. This exporter loads and exports one state at a time, thus decreasing the memory footprint of the animation export. Use this version if you run into memory issues using the standard animation export.

Recovery

Analyzer will continuously store a backup of your current setup. If Analyzer should terminate unexpectedly; you will be prompted to continue from this saved setup.

View position by edit fields

Specify eye, vrp, up vectors manually. View menu->Set View Point…

Automatic rotation point

Rotate around mouse cursor. View->Use Automatic Rotation Point (toggle)

Contour lines

Analyzer offers a simplified contour lines system available for parts, cutting planes, isosurfaces and isovolumes. Added contour lines settings (“Num contour levels” and “Contour mode”).

Unicode support

Support for JCK languages.

Element surface results

Added support for element surface results to picking and plotting.

New color scheme

Blue to white to red

Numerical format

Specify which numerical format to use in the Settings panel under “Advanced”. Offers different format setup for results and coordinates.

Point size

Added point size to part settings.

Line width

Added line width to part settings.

Plotting

Improved plotting functionally. Add curves from multiple selected items at once from the list in the selection panel. Change result on existing plots.

Animation setup

Added cancel button during animation setup.

Added option to animate over multiple state groups.

Image export

Image can set specified width and height.

Mirror settings

Added mirror settings for parts.

Settings

Added OpenGL selection to settings panel. (Desktop OpenGL, OpenGLES, Software OpenGL.)

Added log level to settings panel. Setting a high log level (Info or Debug) can help identify problems but will also reduce application performance. Standard log level is recommended for normal usage.

Command line parameters

Call the Ceetron Analyzer executable with the parameter “-clearall” to delete all stored settings for Analyzer. Note: This will also clear you license info and you will need to specify this on next start up.

Call the Ceetron Analyzer executable with the parameter “-clearlayout” to clean all layout settings for Analyzer. For instance, if you change the number of screens on your system and Analyzer is drawn to the wrong screen.
