2D Markups
 Edit 2D markup text

You may change the text of a shape or text box once it has been added to a 2D scene.

  1. Select the markup. How?
    • Click its listing in the Markups pane. Or choose the Markup picking mode and click the markup in the 2D scene. A selected markup will be surrounded by handles.
  2. Right-click the markup.This opens the markup context menu.
  3. Click Properties.This opens the Markup Properties dialog box.
  4. Type text for the markup in the Title field.
 Change the formatting of a 2D markup

The 2D toolbar offers menus for changing the appearance of 2D markups (lines, shapes, stamps, text boxes). When a markup is selected, the formatting menus will appear on the toolbar.

The following menus format the appearance of a markup (not all menus are available for all types of markups):

  • Fill color
  • Line color
  • Text color
  • Line width
  • Font family
  • Font size
  • Arrowhead style (lines only)

To change the formatting of a 2D markup:

  1. Select the markup. How?
    • Click its listing in the Markups pane. Or choose the Markup picking mode and click the markup in the 2D scene. A selected markup will be surrounded by handles.
  2. Use the menus on the 2D toolbar to change the formatting of the markup.

Note

If you do not see some or all of the markup formatting buttons on the toolbar when the markup is selected, resize the SpinFire Ultimate window.

 Move a 2D markup
  1. Select the markup. How?
    • Click its listing in the Markups pane. Or choose the Markup picking mode and click the markup in the 2D scene. A selected markup will be surrounded by handles.
  2. Drag the markup into position.Be sure not to drag one of the handles, which will resize the markup.
 Change the transparency of a 2D markup

You can change the transparency of the line, fill, and text of line, shape, and text box markups.

  1. Select the markup. How?
    • Click its listing in the Markups pane. Or choose the Markup picking mode and click the markup in the 2D scene. A selected markup will be surrounded by handles.
  2. Open the Line Color, Fill Color, or Text Color menu from the 2D Document Toolbar.
  3. Click Transparency.This opens the Set Transparency dialog box.
  4. Use the slider to set the transparency.
 Resize a 2D markup
  1. Select the markup. How?
    • Click its listing in the Markups pane. Or choose the Markup picking mode and click the markup in the 2D scene. A selected markup will be surrounded by handles.
  2. Drag one of the selection handles around the markup.Be sure not to drag the yellow handle which rotates the markup.
 Rotate a 2D markup (except lines)

Any 2D markup (except lines) may be rotated clockwise or counter-clockwise by dragging its yellow selection handle.

To rotate a 2D markup (except lines):

  1. Select the markup. How?
    • Click its listing in the Markups pane. Or choose the Markup picking mode and click the markup in the 2D scene. A selected markup will be surrounded by handles.
  2. Drag the yellow selection handle that hovers above the markup.
