Embedding Design Data into Office Documents

Insert the information created in SpinFire Ultimate in Notes and Markups & Measurements concerning your part/assembly into a 2013 or 2016 Office document easily without needing to copy/paste each piece of information.

Inserting Notes

To insert notes into Office documents,

  1. Select a position in the Office document to insert the notes.
  2. In SpinFire, navigate to the Markups browser.
  3. Select the notes to insert.
    Use CTRL-Click to select multiple notes.
    Use SHIFT-Click to select multiple sequential notes.
  4. Right mouse click and select Export.....
  5. Change available options.
     
  6. Click INSERT TO EXCEL (or INSERT TO WORD or INSERT TO POWERPOINT).
  7. Make any additional adjustments with the Office document.

Inserting Measurements

To insert measurements into Office documents,

  1. Select a position in the Office document to insert the notes.
  2. In SpinFire, navigate to the Markups browser.
  3. Select the markups to insert. 
    Use CTRL-Click to select multiple notes.
    Use SHIFT-Click to select multiple sequential notes.
  4. Right mouse click and select Export.....
  5. Change available options.
  6. Click INSERT TO EXCEL (or INSERT TO WORD or INSERT TO POWERPOINT).
  7. Make any additional adjustments with the Office document.
