CATIA V5 > CreoView - PLM Express Licensing

Configuring Theorem software using CATIA V5 PLM express licensing.

Typically Theorem customers are advised that for general mechanical translation the minimum configuration should be:

  • MD2 License

  • FTA License (if PMI/MDB is required)

  • Full P3 Installation

This ensures that all of the required libraries are available when the conversion takes place.

CATIA V5 PLM Express licensing does not use the same trigrams, the first license in the stack will most likely be CAC. It is possible to tailor the software install using the ‘Custom’ option and Theorem advise that a 'Complete' installation (this is the default), is NOT carried out.

 Complete Installation

The result of a ‘Complete’ installation can be seen below. Only the CAC Configuration has been installed.

When opening a part/product in CATIA you may also see the following dialog suggesting some files are missing from the installation.

In this case the files were related to sheet metal and the translation resulted in an incomplete translation as shown below.

 Custom Installation

When a ‘Custom’ installation is selected the following configurations are available.

A custom install should produce a result similar to the following, this is roughly ‘equivalent’ to a MD2/complete P3 installation

The log file file below shows the successful outcome.
