Overview

SpinFire Ultimate 11.1 contains additional features found in 10.0 that were not included in 11.0 along with a number of bug fixes.

SpinFire Ultimate will contain all the features of SpinFire 10.0 but in a phased release approach. Please see the SpinFire Matrix for more information.

Bug Fixes

• 2D file formats

  • The ohm symbol appears as a box in NX 2D files.
  • Foreign characters do not appear in CATDrawing file.
  • CATDrawing causes a crash in the SpinFire Viewer when opening.
  • Incorrect scale for DXF file.
  • Visibility control (hide/show) in 2D does not work.
  • Some Chinese characters do not appear even when the font is available.
  • Line Thickness of 2D dimension line and dimension extension line are too thick.

  • Incorrect displaying of CATIA drawing primitives.

  • CATIA V4 2D Drawing - Line width incorrect when Zoomed In or Out.

  • Symbol "β" exists not for all fonts.
  • Importing incorrect line thickness for 2D SLDDRW documents.

• 3D file formats

  • An IGES file and does not zoom correctly using the navigation cube.
  • Imported NX file assembly tree selection is incorrect.
  • NX assembly crashes SpinFire when importing.
  • NX assembly takes 4 times longer to Import than 10.8.2.

  • NX File imports correctly in SpinFire 10.8.2 but Not in SpinFire Ultimate.

  • NX notes and die draw axis symbols are not importing.

  • A specific SolidWorks file fails to open.

  • SpinFire 10 file with an empty 3D work space and 2D drawing does not load.

  • Opening a specific .3D crashes SpinFire.
  • Load colors from SpinFire 10 user views.
• 2D Measurements
  • 2D Notes lose the underline when adding a hyperlink.
• 3D Measurements
  • Boundary Area By Edges measurement could be applied to Annotation plane.
  • Hide/show surface options don't change the label correctly in context menu in Markups tree for the Boundary Area by Edges measurement.
  • Status of the check mark is not updated after deletion or adding elements to any node of Markups tree.
  • Bounding box markups do not respect transforms.
  • Document crashes when click on markup if the markup contains incorrect hyperlink.
  • Document crashes when try to open context menu for the part which was measured by Boundary Area By Edges measurement.

  • The first surface selected on a Distance Between Two Surfaces measurement needs to remain highlighted until the second surface is selected.

  • Arc highlighting for Arc Diameter and Arc Radius remains when the measurements are disabled.
  • When performing "All Subassemblies" Auto Note, some notes are not pointing at the model.
  • Cannot add a hyperlink to a very long file for markup.
  • Bounding box measurement properties imported from SpinFire 10 are not applied in SpinFire Ultimate.
  • Chinese characters do not work in markups.
  • The first selected surface is not highlighted when the user select the second surface for Minimum Distance Between Two Surfaces measurement.

• Assembly Tree

  • “Expand All” should expand to parts level, not solids.

  • Annotation plane is marked as indeterminate when all children are unchecked.
  • Impossible to apply highlighted view from Views tree.

• Library

  • Implement saving of customized displaying of file list in Library after closing application.

  • Scroll option in library file list is not working with mouse wheel.

  • Header for file list in Library is scrolled with file list.

  • File search in library folder not releasing search parameter when switching folders.
  • Folders are duplicated in explorer after connection was added.
  • Files are duplicated in file list after connection was added.

• Miscellaneous

  • Intermittent crash.
  • Settings.config is not removed during uninstall.
  • SFXI-460 If a file(s) fails in an assembly, SpinFire should still open the model without the failed files.

  • Current work is lost without warning if the updater runs.

  • Impossible to remove items from converter list

  • Allow a closing backslash on Custom Updates URL.
  • Floating license file data has an expiration date, but should not

• Sectioning

  • Do not disable features when section dialog is enabled.

  • Section cut by Three points is incorrect.

  • Section cut by Two points is incorrect.

  • Selection fails after sectioning.
  • Unable to select surfaces after section cut is created.
  • Remove the need to "Enable Dragging".
  • Profile edges appear with user views with sections.
  • Attached NX assembly has strange sectioning behavior.
  • Apply" should be disabled in certain section dialog scenarios.
  • Measure section cut profile edges..
  • Document crashes when a section is enabled and a user tries to open context menu.
  • The state of the Project Mode command is not correct if disabling then re-enabling sectioning.

• Selection

  • One cannot select parts after opening an assembly in Load Assembly Tree Only mode.

  • Unhighlight selected items after performing action.
  • View isn't highlighted immediately after selecting the view in drawing tree.
  • Highlighted model element is missing in Print Preview after the view is refreshed.
• Transform
  
  • Zoom Fit doesn't work after transforming a part.
  • Transform dialog is displayed out of SpinFire Ultimate window.
  • Bounding box markups do not respect transforms.
• UI
  • Message boxes should be dismissed via ESC key.
  • The "What's New" link on the Home page in German has an invalid link.
  • Information boxes and dialog windows for viewer don't block access to application.
  • Shift+right-click part selection in the graphic window does not allow to hide form the context menu.
  • Apply, Ok and Cancel buttons are not disabled during Preview on the Transform dialog.
  • Add Markup to All Views option is active after it was selected before.
  • Yellow polyline is visible in case user unticks a 'Stay on Top' functionality.

  • Hyperlink to a view during note creation does not work.

  • Hyperlink fields don't support files with long file name or path(>260).
  • Incorrect coordinate positions for new coordinate system.
  • Sorting doesn't work on 'Select document and User View' window.
  • Viewports button isn't highlighted after pressing on it as it is in SpinFire 10.
  • Assembly item is counted incorrectly in Parts List for specific model
  • Incorrect validation of Selected Color Palette value after apply in Color Palettes dialog.

Installation

SpinFire Ultimate 11.2 can be installed side-by-side with previous versions of SpinFire, such as the 10.x release. 

Upgrading from 11.0.0 to 11.1.0

To upgrade SpinFire Ultimate from 11.0 or 11.1 to 11.12:

1. Launch and run the SpinFire.x64.msi (or the SpinFire.x64.exe) and follow the installation wizard instructions.
