HOOPS Luminate requires a HOOPS license available from the https://developer.techsoft3d.com/start, if you don’t have it already under the HOOPS Luminate product area. You may need to register a new account for Access to the NEW Developer Zone.
The unified license key provides access to all HOOPS products across platforms and modules.
The key license supports your current entitlements and components on your shipping platform(s).
See Licensing — HOOPS Luminate documentation for details.
HOOPS Luminate 2024 Packages
The Developer Zone provides one HOOPS Luminate package (i.e. zip archive) per platform. Download the package(s) of interest. The new packages are 100% compatible with the old ones. Extract the package into the appropriate location.
The full material library will not be initially available, when HOOPS Luminate 2024 is released. A sample library will be available. The full library will be available on the Developer Zone as quickly as possible. If you license the full library and need it right away, it can be downloaded from http://redway3d.com/ or contact us. It will work with HOOPS Luminate.
The package for Win32 is not available as this platform will be deprecated soon. If you require this package, please contact us.
The contents of the HOOPS Luminate package remains consistent with RedSDK. However, the Config Recommendation tool to check support for a specific graphic card and driver has been removed. This tool is largely obsolete with Windows driver compliance. Use the RedSDK 5.3 version of the tool, if necessary.
The product and package naming for this initial release will be “HOOPS Luminate 2024”. Internally, the (binary file) version will be
5.4
in keeping with the RedSDK version numbering. In a subsequent release, this internal version will adopt the HOOP Suite numbering and be consistent with the product and package numbering.
